Does the mileage on car matter if the engine is rebuilt?

1. brittany Says: when buying a used car that has high miles but a rebuilt motor is the car any good?
2. emiller1998 Says: Of course it matters. The rest of the car still has all those miles on it.

If you give an 80 yr old a heart from a 20 yr old does that mean the 80 yr old will have the body and health of a 20 yr old? Of course not.
3. ken k Says: so what is the mileage?dont forget that the rest of the car still has the mileage/engineis only one part/trans and drive gear and soft parts of the suspension and axles and ball joints and wiper motors etc/all these parts are getting worn along with the blown engine
4. Len Says: Body, suspension, brakes, transmission, steering all matter too. Most things can be fixed and an engine rebuild helps.
5. U S A F Says: It depends on who built the motor. They could have done a bad job, or a really good one. It's hit or miss.
