MY CAR WONT START HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Anthony Viola Says: We turned our car on and drove about 5 minutes down the highway to get a pumpkin, we went inside for maybe 5 min came out started the car and the ABS and BRAKE lights came on the dash board also we heard kind of a hissing noise under the hood, so we went home brought the pumpkin, and my daughter inside then about 25 minutes later when we tried to start it NOTHING , (the lights were NOT left on), the engine would not turn over NO clicks at all, and there were no lights on the dash board... PLEASE help me i have a 2 month old baby i need my car!!!

The car is a 2001 pontiac grand AM

2. Chris Says: if there is no power at all eg:head lights and horn don't work it's a connection problem if the cables are tight at battery check connections at engine and starter

3. kevusaborn Says: Your battery is probably dead and you haven't the knowledge or tools to test it correctly.

It sure does sound like the belt broke. Turn the headlights on, then try to crank the
starter, If your lights dim quite a bit, you need it charged..

Get someone to help you if you are uncertain about things .

4. Chloe Says: if u checked it with a volt meter that doesnt mean its still good. still could have a dead cell. did it smell bad like rotten eggs?
also check fuses.
