My 99 pontiac bonneville make a weird noise when i turn the steering wheel?

2. grim reaper Says: well i work for Gm and what you should do is put powerstering fluid in it turn on th engine and and turn the wheel if it dosent get better and you here squeeking you may have a bad power steering pump or pully you should have it cheaked at a local dealer have them air compress your stering system.if you have a leak they will find it. powersteering systems are very costley pump about 150+labor 225 rack and pinion 800 lots of money involoved.

how long has it been doing this?
is it very very hard to turn?
does it squeek under the hood by the belt?
It whould help me out alot to know this.

3. 2-8.2-11.3-17 Says: I am sorry, but your question is funny. Even being a female with no auto mechanic experience I can tell you, you need power steering. Add some power steering fluid. The place for it is located under the hood. Should have a black lid/cap on it that says power steering.

4. Hans Forsman Says: Your like every other lazy person in this world you are turning the wheel of the car to tightly. stop doing that and see a local auto parts store for your new power steering pump since you went and screwed the first one up.
