How to know if my power steering tank is leaking?

(2010-10-26 02:10:06) 1. iPRO Says: I have a 1999 grand am se it has has 191,754 miles on it and pures like a kitten. I have noticed though that my power steering is leaking. It has a small leak nothing serious, but how do i know if it is the hose leaking or the tank?2. some guy Says: Clean the area of the leak as best you can and then start the vehicle and check and see where the fluid is coming from. You may need someone to turn the steering wheel from side to side while you look at the hoses and lines to see where the fluid is leaking.3. bandit_60 Says: wipe it off with a rag and start it. if it was the pressure hose it would be more then a small leak.4.
