I got Toyota Carina 1995.Why my gear is shifting so early?

1. Destroyer Says: its an auto transmission gearbox n my engine is 1587 cc 4A-FE engine.But the problem is my gear is changing so early though i m just flooring the accelerator.like 1st gear in 20km,2nd on 30 .....so i m not getting cool performance.anyone have any idea?

2. mohd a Says: adjust the kick-down cable ,its from the transmission to the engine connected with the accelerator cable,release the rear nut about 2mm to the back and tight the front one..good luck

3. A U M Says: Usually gear change in any AT are judged by engine RPM. If gear change in you AT is improper, that might be due to misreading.
Get the same checked by an mechanic.
