I got tein lowering springs and i need help?
(2010-11-02 14:05:09) 1. Says: so i got tein lowering springs for my acura integra the springs go down 2.6 inches in the front and 2.0 in the back and i have some 15 inch 205/50 tires on my car, i was wondering if my tires would hit if i lowered it this much? and is there anyway to adjust them so that their not soo low2. Says: That is a pretty aggressivee drop but I think you will be just fine with that tire size. Tein is one one the top suspension companies in the business and they have a huge research & development department along with the fact that they test their products in the automotive racing world. Being that you are running an almost stock sized tire you shouldn't rub at all.If you take it slow entering and exiting parking lots and going over speed bumps (if you can fit over) you have a lower risk of rubbing the tires. You will rub if you drive recklessly over obstacles.
In the additional details, you said you already have coilovers? If your car is lower than his stock height integra, then your coilovers must be adjusted to a low position. You cannot adjust the Teins to a higher height though...that is one of the negatives of a lowering spring.3. Says: I'm looking at some integras with these springs and they look mighty close to the fender. I think they're probably going to rub somewhat...there's no way to really adjust springs except cutting them...and cutting them would basically make the car lower.
