Striped Allen Head Bolt?

1. Pat M Says: I have a bmx bike and the allen screw that holds the crank in place is stripped. I cannot take my crank off because of this. Can someone please tell me an easy and non destructive way to remove this allen screw? Thank you.

2. Tim Says: you need to get a easy out tool, they are in different sizes, drill hole in allen screw put easy out, in
hole in screw , and turn screw out.

3. Charlie Says: Allen heads rarely fail unless badly fitting tools are used. Get a decent quality allen key set that fits well. if it its now well and truely screwed, you will need to drill it out and use an easy out, or drill it out completely and tap the threads out again

4. jack Says: go to a parts store and ask for an "IRON GRIP" bolt remover. i have this tool and its awesome. i believe the brand name is Irwin.
