A common upgrade to increase horsepower and torque is to change out the factory turbo to a Borg-Warner K04 model, which was found in stock Audi TT 225s and Audi RS4s. With the hardware change you need to update, or "chip" the ECU software to reflect the ignition and fueling changes needed to get the most power out of the hardware upgrade.
