Quick question on brakes?

1. YmeHP Says: The car is a '02 Mazda Protege ES. The brake pedal is very jittery when pressed and their is a stiff brake smell from behind the RF tire as if a 18 wheeler is trying slow down a 7% grade. Is this a sticky brake caliper? What are some symptoms to look for?

2. lagarbo89fxrs Says: If the brake pedal pulsates particularly under higher speed applications there's a good chance your rotors are warped. As far as the brake smell there is a chance the caliper maybe sticking and if that's the case jack the r.f. up and spin the wheel to see if there's resistance from disc brake sticking. 3. Gary Says: Sounds like you need a brake job, Rotors warped, possible pads worn out and caliper pistons stuck out holding pad against rotor, Also flex brake line may be rotted on inside and not letting caliper release. Get fixed ASAP so you don't have an accident

Yup a sticky caliper creates heats the rotter and warps it so the peddle freaks out.
