Renualt kangoo 2001 fault?

Says: Hi eveyone I have got a renualt kangoo 2001 my question is if you disconnect battery from a disel engine which runing ,it should keep runing or not. and I have got battery draining problem aswell and I am not sure if this is a sign of fault ,don't know from where i have to start fault finding. any help appriciated (my alternator has been checked and its working properly)thanks2. Says: Change the battery to see if this makes any difference as it may well be the case that it is not taking a charge.
If this does not cure the problem and the alternator is working correctly then i would suggest getting a mechanic or auto electrician to trace the problem back as there must be something drawing the power off somewhere.
As for the car staying running after you have disconnected the battery then i would start it up and disconnect one of the battery leads, it will either stall or stay running.
Although please note that if it does stay running i wouldnt recommend driving down the road like it as none of the electrics, headlights etc will function because they will have no power going to them.3.
