Slow wipers and it's not the alternator?
(2011-01-04 03:10:05) 1. Says: The alternator is fine, I changed the wiper motor but still have the problem2. Says: I agree with Jim. The high setting on the switch is bad only allowing slow or med. Do they stop when in the high position? If they do, it's the switch.I would put a jumper on the wiper motor plug to get voltage to the high position on the motor from the medium position from the switch. Easy band-aid fix.3. Says: But they still run yeah?so go out and switch them on for 5 mins or so,then feel the spindles,that's where the wiper bolts on,they run right through the body,I'm betting they're warm if not hot,sounds like they've partially seized.
You can try a maintinence spray like WD 40,but usually this doesn't last,best course is new spindles.4. Says: You may have a bad wiper switch. Tag: Slow wipers and it's not the alternator?
