Maserati vs Lamborghini vs Ferrari?

1. Robert Weinstein Says: Hello. I am 64 and retired. I am looking into buying a sports/luxury car. I can afford these cars, so don't say I can't.

I had my mind set on the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4. However, does it drive really low to the ground? The problem for me could arise in the entering and exiting of the car. Is it a real pain?

If Lamborghini is to low to get into, my next choice would be either the Ferrari 458 Italia or the Ferrari California. I think the 458 looks more exotic, but could I ad a navigation system to it? Is it any comfortable?

Another car would be the Bentley Continental GT. Fast and luxurious at the same time. However, if I'm paying 200k for a car, I want it to be a head turner, noticeable, and something that people take photos of. Is the bentley all of that?

The last car which is 50k cheaper is the Maserati Gran Turismo S. It is a huge head turner, but it is not as fast as the cars listed above. Some people complain that the seats can be uncomfortable.

So, do you think it is worth it to spend an extra 50k on a Lamborghini, Ferrari, or Bentley over a Maserati. Although I can afford these cars, I still would like to be smart with my money.

So if you do think the extra 50k is worth it, which car should I get (Lamborghini, Ferrari, or Bentley)? If you think the Maserati is a great car, tell me please.

Thank you for your input.

I tried an f458 and a lp640 (both of my friends )
the F458 is a beast ..... and the sound is (oh my god) awesome

If You Have Money F458!!
3. Roger Says: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carinsurance.yoll.net

So, are you 64 or in the 8th grade as your question cited says?
5. SKA=<3 Says: Well just to start off im a tunner. I own a Nissan 240sx. Which I've done everything to by myself. Including add a turbo.

Ok. You want a head turner, but the first thing you should ask is where you live. How many exotic cars are around. If it's like where I live you don't get much. Sometimes a viper. If you live somewhere where there everywhere your not going to get much at all. Think about that.

Now you said you want the lambo, but it's too low. Go try it out. Find one and just see how hard it is to get in and out. My car is pretty low and people complain a lot how low it is. I got use to it so it's not that big of a deal. If you really want that car I would just get that. Ive learned not to settle on something that you spend so much on. I don't have money like you so make a decision on a $200 or the one I want for $300 is a huge decision. But when I get the one I want I'm very happy with it. Where before I settled and liked it but not a lot, and ended up getting what I wanted later on. So I would just get what you really want. Lambo is always a head turner. No matter who you are.

As for power. Look at their power, but also look at their weight, if their AWD RWD, and fine quarter mile times. They may have lots of power but weigh a ton. Which would make them run way slower than other cars with less power and weigh less. Most super cars that are also all fancy weigh so much. It will effect how fast the car is greatly.

As you can see I don't know much about these cars, but I do know a thing or two about cars in general. I would pick the lambo.

Most likely all of these cars will be very low to the ground. You will just figure out a way to get in and out of them.

But definetly put lots of thought into this. You don't want to spend that money and end up not fully liking it.
6. Nobleambitons Says: So you want:
-Performance
-Attention
-Comfort and Convenience (entering/exiting)

Performance- Lamborghini is a clear winner, but will you ever see triple digits? Acceleration will seem the same on the cars, and engine noise will difinitely be attention grabbing on them all. So consider the Maserati. Another thing you should consider, is getting a demonstrator vehicle. These are always well looked after, fitted with many options, and are many thousands of dollars cheaper.

Attention- I would say 458 Italia definitely, although a Gallardo would also do quite well. Maseratis are too common to really be attention grabbing.

Comfort and Convenience- Well, the Continental GT is the tallest, at 1380mm, but only has 110mm ground clearance. Height above ground may not seem like it's that important, but once you pay $200k for a car, you will get very annoyed every time you slowly scrape the front and/or back. Navigation systems come with all the cars you mentioned, or at least should be options.

Also, consider paying the little bit extra for a convertible. These are very fun, and are easier to resell. Another thing, check out the Gallardo Valentino Balboni LP-550-2. It is a special edition Gallardo, but is cheaper, and if you can get your hands on one, will be one of only 250 in the world. Think about it - your car could also be an investment.

I think you should set aside a Saturday for test driving all of these cars. That is what will seriously tell you everything about comfort, performance, attention, and "feel" of each of these cars. Who knows, you might end up liking the Maserati because you have more fun in it.
When you have made a final decision, before you pay the deposit, make sure you ask for a little extra with your car, as most luxury and sports car dealerships won't bring down the price, they will almost always let you get away with a free option like non-standard media systems.

Wear a suit though.
