Would my 2003 mustang gt smoke a 2011 mustang 5.0 in a race?

5. brad Says: OMG no. I own an 06 gt with cai, tune, full exhaust and I would have you by at least a car and a half in the 1/4. The new coyote engine in the 11 gt's would be about .4 faster in the quarter than mine. look up o the numbers online.

Your engine had 260 at the crank and a few minor add ons, this new one has over 412 at the crank and many are rating it underpowered from the factory for insurance.

6. p8ntballboy22 Says: id have to give it to the 2011. more power, better handling, maybe if your's was blown or had a turbo and making BIG power, then yeah. but with just a CAI exhaust and tune i dont think you'd win. Sorry.

8. fodaddy19 Says: No, you would get trounced by a 2011 GT. It wouldn't be close. I have an 03 GT as well, mine is supercharged and I'm barely going to be able to hang with them when they're stock. Keep in mind the 2011 GT is a high 12 second car stock. and you car is likely a low 14 second car if you have the stock 3.27 gears or a high 13 second car if you have 3.73s or 4.10s.
