Good first cars for a 18 yr old girl?
(2011-01-08 21:52:20) 1. Says: I going to buy my first car soon, I want to own it outright and not have any loans at this point, so max price would have to be around $24,000.I love the mazda3 hatchback (models from 2008 onwards) but is there any other car like that you can think of, also available in australia? Im a bit of a tomboy when it comes to cars, I want something cute but I still care about how it handles and the engine etc etc haha2. Says: It should be 4-door, 4-cyls, not sporty. I would prefer Honda or Toyota... First time drivers usually have much more expensive car insurance, and it depends from car. You should compare insurance rates while choosing the car - for example here - carinsurance.yoll.net3. Says: Obviously, you're a beginner. And a girl. So, what you need is a small, urban-friendly, easy-to-park car. For 24000 $ you can get a lot of well-equipped little cars.
I'm not exactly sure what car manufacturers sell their cars in Australia, but here's a list of cars suited for you (you can choose what car is available in Australia):
Mazda 3 (MPS edition)
Mazda 2
Citroen C1
Citroen C2 (VTS edition)
Citroen C3
Citroen DS3
Fiat Punto (Abarth edition)
Fiat Grande Punto (Abarth edition)
Chevrolet Spark
Renault Clio (they even have a special Miss City Edition, just for girls ;), or the RS model)
Sukuzi Swift
Suzuki Splash
VW Polo (GTI)
Alfa Romeo MiTo (CloverLeaf edition, or the GTA edition)
All the cars above are pretty cheap, and perfect for you. If you want some power and handling, check out the models I put between brackets, but beware... those will put a bigger hole in your pocket. You can also check out Australia's car manufacturers, like Holden. I don't know anything about them, really.
Hope the stuff I told you were useful :) Tag: Good first cars for a 18 yr old girl?
