Civic, Accord or Mazda 6?

1. funky Says: I am looking for a car (from carmax) with some style and good resale. Budget is max 20K. I like sports kinda cars. American cars resale sucks. I am more keen on resale coz I would be driving the car for max 10-12 months. Would be buying it on loan. I love Camaro but it is costly and resale would be very less. After compromising i have filtered my choices to Civic, Accord or Mazda 6 (i know these r common and boring). Suggest any stylish cars as per my requirement.
Ps: I dont like Corolla and Camry.
2. just call me Buzz Says: Go with the Civic for Resale value.

PS - If you buy at Carmax, you are paying retail (and NO NEGOTIATING)

Just a word to the wise since you say you are going to want to get rid of it in 10-12 months, if you buy a $20,000 civic (which means it almost new) you are going to lose almost $5000 the first year.

If you really need to turn the car over that quickly, you are much better off getting a $10000 car, then you will only lose $2 or $3000 over the first year.

Also, since you're getting a loan, you better get a 36 month term. this will keep you from getting even more upside down that mentioned above.

So, get a $10000 car and get a loan for 36 months for around $300 a month or you are oging to be in serious trouble when you try to get rid of the car for whatever reason.

3. Murcie_LP640 Says: Go for the Mazda 6 or a Subaru Legacy with the 2.5L Boxer.

They're fun to drive unlike the Accord and Civic and still effortlessly reliable. Resale value would be a fair bit better with the Legacy rather than the 6.
4. Giggiti Says: mitsubishi lancer, lancer x go to this site for more details http://www.leftlanenews.com/mitsubishi-lancer-evolution-x.html or http://www.rsportscars.com/mitsubishi/2008-mitsubishi-lancer-evolution-x/ might cost you more than 20 k for the newer ones but im sure you'll find a perfect price
5. Eduardo S Says: out of those three, i would choose the civic, since it's the most reliable (a civic will easily make it past 300K miles, as long as you change the oil at 3K miles, and change the timing belt every 100K miles.)
6. Bill Says: I would suggest the Honda Civic and you should be able to pick up a new 2010 for less than the $20k budget. They would probably have the best resale value.
7. Miz Zou Says: None
8. Will Says: Vauxhall Astra and Aston Martin Vanquish/DB9.
