Keep my ford or buy a kia?

1. Bri Says: I have 2001 Ford Escort Zx2 with 103k on it and I've been wanting to sell it for a while now and buy a small suv so that I can have more room for people to ride in and something I can pack camping equipment with and I found a 2000 Kia Sportage with 120k on it.
I know nothing about the running life of kia's and so I just wanted some opinions on whether or not the Kia would be a decent replacement.
My Escort has been a good running car for me only been in the shop for regular maintenance and I don't want something that's going be any less than what I already have so should I buy the Kia or keep my Zx2?

2. guy Says: The newer Kia's are okay. the early ones were junk Banks and Credit Unions wouldn't even finance them because they depreciated so quickly. If the lender had to repossess the car they would take a big loss. Why would you want to buy a vehicle that only the manufacturer would finance.

3. creativegamer310 Says: Kia is a decent brand. I don't hear that much about their cars breaking down or anything. Just make sure the Kia sportage isn't salvaged. Have a mechanic check the tranny out and etc. Check all of the fluids and even get a carfax report on it. 120k miles isn't bad at all as long as it was maintained correctly and not disregarded.

4. Bill Says: I don't think you would be gaining much by trading for the KIA and could be subjecting yourself to problems. Kia has come a long way over the past 10 years and I would highly recommend a new one but I would be cautious about buying a used one with 130k on it.

5. Code-Face Says: Do not get the Kia, it is older with more miles and it is a Kia. If you must go Korean go Hyudia. The best small SUVs I know of are the Honda CRV or Toyota Rav4. Keep the Zx2 but shop arround still.

6. TOYOTA SUCKS Says: No, keep your Ford.

Ford makes indestructible cars.

The Kia will break tomorrow.

8. acuratsx86 Says: keep your ford. I dont recommend kia and if you want to change I recommend Honda, or toyota.
