1. Joe Dirt Says: All I wanted was for him the replace the positive battery cable on my ' 03 ford focus. I even got a factory type cable from a parts shop myself but instead of replacing the old cable he cut off the end of the new cable and used both of them (what the new cable is hooked up to I don't know). Now I'm P%^&*(* !!! How do I pick the right shop to fix his mistake.
2. R.O.G Says: There is now way to know for sure best thing to do is ask around get peoples opinions plus most shops have more then one mech. 1 might know what hes doing 2 might not so its a 50/50 chance of getting what you want unless you do the job yourself then its done the way you want it done
3. scooterboy Says: battery cable to the starter motor , even you should be able to replace the cable , just follow the red cable to fuse box to alternator to startermotor. you bought a new cable and the idiot decide to cut it.. yeah well done. take car back and get that muppet to replace your cable and fit it properly as you asked him to do.if that was my car i"d punch his lights out.
4. whata waste Says: sounds like all you needed was an end and so tha'ts what you got. does the car work ok now? probably does so what's the problem? also never take your own parts to a mechanic. there will be no warranty if you do that.
5. molitor Says: Joe, first you have to learn to be a good customer. You don't seem to know what is hooked up to what so what is the problem Joe? Could it be your misunderstanding Joe? Did you ask the shop to show you exactly what they did so you could understand? Joe, changing a cable is child's play and I suspect you are upset over some wrong perception you have. I'll also say that showing up at a garage with your own parts is very bad form Joe and you may have irritated the mechanic by doing that. Do you bring your own steak to a restaurant Joe? Of course not! Go back to the shop Joe and ask them to explain what they did. I'll bet they'll be happy to.
