How good are K & N air panelfilters?

Says: i assume you mean kn air filters if so, yes they do give you a bit more throttle response via more airthe air filter alone may proved 3 or 4 more hp ....a full air intake kit and external kn filter will provide 10-20 hp depending on vehicle3. Says: No difference in throttle response at all, and very slight difference in bhp, showing up only at peak power point with the throttle wide open. The reason is simple enough - the air filter has only a tiny effect on total air intake restriction. The main restriction by far is the throttle, with the air filter accounting for about the difference between being a millimeter short of having the pedal all the way down to having it all the way down. How often do you have the engine wound out with the throttle wide open? That often you can gain perhaps 3% more power. The rest of the time there is no difference at all.4. Says: Michael is correct. You will notice little difference. My suggestion would be get a new performance intake, or ram air. Or you can make your own!
