Is 109,000 miles a lot for a 2006 hyundai sonata?
(2011-01-20 15:15:19) 1. Says: what is like there max mileage? i know it differs with certain cars2. Says: There really isn't such a thing as max mileage on any car. There will be some people who will swear that Japanese cars last longer than American or German cars last the longest etc. etc., but the reality is that longevity depends mainly on the owner of the car.I've been a fleet and courier manager for 17 years and seen a number of cars during my time. The very cars some people may call bad are the one that have lasted much longer than anyone expected and ones that were suppose to last had major problems just days into service. In fact I've never seen a Honda go past the 300,000 mile mark. Not saying there aren't any, just going by my experiences. Yes, the most durable cars I've seen are Toyotas but all the others aren't far behind.
100,000 miles on a 4 year car is on the high side but not excessively so. If you intend to get a used car try to get as much info about it as possible and, if you can afford one, try it get a mechanic to look at it. Take it for a good test drive to see if everything is in working order and it doesn't hurt to run a car fax or similar service. NEVER go by the make or model of car alone. I seen people get burned like that.3. Says: It depends on how the car was maintained and used. For a 5 year old car to have that many miles it probably means they were highway miles, not stop and go city driving, and that's a good thing. Highway miles are very easy on a car.
As far as can a Sonata last, you bet, they are great cars.4. Says: It's definitely more than normal... I'd say most cars that are 10 years old probably have about 150,000 miles, and your car is only 5 years old.5. Says: Yes, never buy any Hyundai with over 75,000 miles in it.
.6. Says: mileage doesnt matter as long as the cars been taken care of properly since its been bought. Tag: Is 109,000 miles a lot for a 2006 hyundai sonata?
