1. VEGO JAUPIN-THE ALL KNOWING LAS VEGAN Says: Hard starting, poor acceleration, poor economy, stalling. If you havent replaced it in about 30000 miles, then you are overdue. A restricted fuel filter will burn out the electric fuel pump from too much back pressure and the pump works harder and overheats to burn itself out.

2. mailbox1024 Says: if it restricts Fuel supply then your engine may require maximum fulling for best torque etc and load pulling. if it cannot get enough fuel to burn it can only develop the power equal to the fuel injected. hence a fuel filter blockage will reduce power out put significantly.
