Help with my ignition?

1. Itolloiver Says: I have a 1987 ford f 150 and when I get up in the morning to start my truck. It is very difficult for me to turn the ignition cuz it is hard because of the cold weather is there anything I can do to prevent this.
2. Dennis Says: Spray the tumbler with WD40 , use the nozzle to get inside. The original lube has hardened. don't be afraid to use lots. Hold a rag underneath to catch spillage.
3. Robert Says: That's pretty common on them. Spray some WD-40 into the steering column around the shifter, the steering wheel and around the ignition tumbler. When you hit the right spot it will free right up. You might put some rags on the floor because it gets a little messy.
4. idontgivafork Says: you need to lube the linkage before it breaks,especially if its a tilt wheel.you can use grease or spray graphite.the parts that need lubed are the basic actuating rod and linkage.try to find a picture.i could explain but it wont help.
5. Pancakes Says: Spray some WD-40 in the switch.
