You can research cars online, you can search for cars for sale online but you should ALWAYS deal with the seller in person face to face. You can't buy a car without a thorough inspection and test drive and negotiating the price should be done in person with the seller. The money you'll spend transporting a car or traveling to see the car n another city or state is much better spent finding a car locally.

All eBay and Autotrader are is an online form of a classified ad. The same fees apply to cars listed on AutoTrader as cars that are sitting on the dealer's lot.

Some dealers will post prices not including destination in order to make the price look more appealing.
In addition, they might also post all rebates applicable to a car that are in lieu of any special financing you may qualify for/be interested in.
