How to remove torque converter from flywheel on 2001 vw jetta 1.8 with A/T?

1. Floppy Says: I am removing the transmission from my 2001 jetta with 1.8t and automatic transmission. I have everything disconnected besides the torque converter to the flywheel. Does anybody know how to remove the bolts? I cant seem to find an access hole or anything like that.
2. bigrocks65 Says: Check through starter hole......sorry next to where axle is bolted is a plug that u pull and converter nuts are behind it.turn flywheel line up each one to remove
3. bandit_60 Says: look behind the flywheel. on some cars the bolts goes through from behind the flywheel.
