My car will not start. It will not stay running. It dies when I take my foot off of the gas.?
(2011-02-04 15:20:28) 1. Says: I have a 2003 Subaru Forrester with 200,000 miles. This winter I have had problems with it starting. The last time, I put a bottle of "heat" in the gas tank, thinking something may have frozen and it started 1 hr. later. It is doing the same thing again. The car cranks and turns on, but only if I keep my foot on the gas while turning the key. Once I remove my foot, it dies. I will try another bottle of heat, but I don't think this should be happening consistently. (Although it has been pretty cold the last 12 hours). This car has survived Minnesota and Illinois Winters for almost 10 years now. I know it has been a while since the spark plugs have been changed (about 15000 miles atleast) Will this cause this to happen? Or should I be looking more at the fuel pump/fuel filter? Any input is greatly appreciated.2. Says: this is a fuel related problemwhen was the last time you last service your fuel system
