Camry Says: This car is my worst nightmare but I can not afford to get another one so I would appreciate some honest answers because I will depend on these to do this on my own. I have figured out a lot of things to do on my own so I don't have to pay the outrageous labor cost. So please help me! My heater is doing weird things and now it won't work unless my car is idled/rpm 2-3. So if I am sitting at the stop light it goes cold and when I take off and I reach at least 40 mph I start getting heat again. It is cold as chit here in Kansas and I have a 8 year old daughter that I need to protect and keep warm. Willing to pay extra to get this fixed, so let me know! Thanks!

sniperlif3 Says: Check the coolant level. It could very well be that the heater is not getting the coolant it needs until the engine heats up from accelerating. If your coolant level is fine, try changing the thermostat, it may not be opening up early enough (at low enough temperature) so the coolant cant get the heat it needs for the heater core. If neither of these work, you may have faulty heating components.

Scott Says: Sounds like either low coolant or bad thermostat. make sure the coolant is good for 40 below so it doesn't freeze.
