(2011-02-12 15:20:40) 1. Says: i bled the master cylinder & all 4 brake lines & the pedal stills goes to the floor.there's no leak in the lines.all 4 wheels have disk brakes.
how do i tell if it's the brake master cylinder or power booster?
thanks for any help.2. Says: The brake booster wouldn't affect that, so that leaves the master cylinder..... But, if you do want to test the booster, there's a finger-sized rubber hose going from the intake manifold to the booster diaphragm. Pull the end at the booster, plug the hose, start the car, & see if there's any difference in the brake pedal.3. Says: Sounds like you need to have a shop bleed the brake system, especially if this is the first time you've ever attempted to bleed your brakes. Normally, you don't need to bleed the master cylinder unless it was replaced. You need two people to bleed the brakes unless you have special power bleeding equipment.
