Are American Muscle Cars Reliable? Or are they just status cars like lamborghinis or ferraris?
(2011-02-16 15:15:21) 1. Says: I was Thinking about buying a Ferrari but no salesman wants to tell you much about the Bad of a Car. So then I thought what about a muscle?2. Says: Oh thats easy, If you want something that's good in a streight line? yes, however if you want something that can take a bend in the road & doesn't have Battleship style levels of fuel consumption? then go Ferrari.Although a Jaguar or Aston Martin (classic or present) has more Road Presence / are far more respected by other motorists & are also much less Bank Breaking than either of the other two ; )3. Says: Super cars like the Lamborghini's and Ferrari's are not cheap to own, repair or insure.
For the price of one of those cars you can have a whole fleet of muscle cars. If something goes wrong and need fixed you can find the parts today.
Just try to find a replacement alternator for an exotic, by the time you locate one for the Lambo, the American made muscle car will be back on the road.
Now if you just have a minor fender bender in a Ferrari, where do you get the new parts and how long do you have to wait to get that part. More then likely a long time.
But total an American made muscle car, and you can replace it before the sun rises the next day.
So while the exotics are nice, they are easier to take care of and replace.4. Says: Most of the General Motors cars were very reliable, and easy and cheap on repairs.
