How many years you think should one keep his car?
(2011-02-22 15:25:05) 1. Says: Okay I got this 2011 car and it's great and everything. I'm not being greedy or anything, but I'm just thinking long-term-future-wise. Say the car was working okay and there are no major mechanical problems or big accidents, what is the life-time of a car? Should one directly get the newer look when the firm releases one? Should one invest for a longer time his own car? I don't know. What do you think.2. Says: who has the money to buy the new model every time the company releases it? Not me lol my car is 20 years old and still starts up for me every single day, drives all day at work and takes me back home. It still looks decent, runs almost perfectly and gets 30 mpg. And I plan on driving it long into the future. So it depends on how reliable your car is and how attached to it you are. I believe in sticking with the same car and doing work on it to make it perfect for me but thats not for everyone.3. Says: it really depends on alot of stuff. did you buy the car new or old. What manufcaturer is the car from. How do you treat your car. You driving style. But on avergae i think a perfect time for a car is 4 years.4. Says: I think you sound very stupid. It's all about preferences and reliability, because MOST new car can last years-just look at how old some cars are on the road, and yes i am aware THEY DON'T BUILD CARS LIKE THEY USED TO.5. Says: when the maintenance costs are more than the car is worth6. Says: maintain and do it for ten years//done it myself/new and go 10 Tag: How many years you think should one keep his car?
