What are some modifications I can do to get some more hp out of my car: 98 Pontiac Trans AM WS6 automatic?
(2011-02-24 15:15:28) 1. Says: Hello, I have a 98 Trans AM. It is an automatic and it has the WS^ RAM AIR and Sports/Handling Package. I believe it has a POSI LSD. It has the LS1 engine with 43k miles on it and I believe it makes 325horsepower.Right now the car is completely stock except for a muffler delete. What are some mods I can do to get some more horses but not spend a ton of money?
325hp is great but I really want to get to 375....2. Says: Start with the basics, an air lid is the first thing any LS1 4thgen owner replaces. Then a real exhaust(not a muffler delete), if you have the $$$ get a set of headers. A PCM tune will wake the car up too, GM left a lot of power on the table when they programmed the PCM.
