1. Spanky White Says: you need to tell us what happened that makes you think the oil pump needs changed,did it loose oil pressure or start knocking,we have to get something to go on,good luck.

2. dodge man Says: if its got a lot of miles on it id try a new oil pump on it,if you can hook a manual gage up to it and see how much oil pressure its showing,that could also be the push rods getting worn down on the top causing that too happen,pull one out and check it,good luck.

3. dodge man Says: Given the overwhelming case you made here- NO

Come back with an explanation and we will give you a better guess. Pressure readings/manual gage test/ engine is getting rebuilt/stage X increase of power/ you know? WTF are you doing?
