2004 GT Mustang Vs. 2008 GT Mustang for circle track racing at high speeds?

1. John Wayne Says: At about 110-140mph at average through the whole race.

I will not be adding a turbo or anything, just cold air intake, under drive pulleys, air condition delete, and all the stuff in the front of the car, and rear seats. if I get the 08 GT I will also replace the air intake manifold.
2. fodaddy19 Says: What track are you talking about? Most local short tracks are a 1/2 mile or less. And the average speeds of full-on race cars (Late model stock) is usually less than 100 MPH. If you think you'll be coming close to that with a mostly stock Mustang, you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. Furthermore, short tracks have classes, and I have yet to come across a circle track that has a class for nearly stock newer cars. Most tracks will require a roll cage, and that all the glass be removed front he car as well. You don't just show up and expect to race, these aren't drag strips.

But to answer you question the 08 would be the better choice, as it has a better chassis and a more powerful 3 valve engine.

I suggest you do a lot more research on your proposal, I don't think you understand how this works.
3. Oldies music and American Cars Says: it would be close, the 2004 has better aerodynamics but the 2008 has a little more power.
