3, it cannot be just NOS, the only boost the car got was the Plutonium.2. Says: Definitely not the US engine with the catalytic converter requirements. This one had the Euro 170 horsepower 6-cylinder PRV (Peugeot/Renault/Volvo) engine.3. Says: hey chubby, he had to go 88 mph before the time travel would be possible. the thing only used plutonium a few times after that it was ran on other sources of power, a bolt of lightning from the library, mr fusion reactor, do i need to go on? and i have not seen that movie in 2 decades, scary4. Says: well obviously it couldnt have been that wimpy v6 they came with. but really now its nuclear powered man! if the scientist could figure out how to make a car time travel i bet he could make a DeLorean go 88 mph. maybe it just runs on the cool factor haha5.
