Sharon Says: My vehicle has white smoke coming from the tailpipe when I start it, it is not a lot but noticable, what could cause that?

bam Says: If it only does it when you start your car and then goes away it's probably just exhaust vapor, that is normal when the weather is colder, and if it sits for a while such as over night. I would start your car and let it warm up until you don't see it anymore, turn the car off, and start it up again. If it smokes after the 2nd time then maybe you have a problem that might cost you, check your coolant level<NOT IF ENGINE IS HOT> as you may be burning anti-freeze because of a bad cylinder head gasket. I hope in your case it's just vapor/steam. Goodluck

Justmyopinon Says: If it only does it on startup don't worry about it. If it does it all around town take it in and get it looked at might be a leaking seal somewhere.
