Spoiler removal? Please read....?
(2011-03-21 14:20:30) 1. Says: I have a 2011 Dodge Charger in Bright White. And I want to get my spoiler removed (I hate spoilers) but I'm a little afraid that when I do, they can't match my paint correctly and it will be easy to tell, and I don't want that. Is there a way that they could just paint over the holes after they plug it in instead of painting my whole trunk over?I know everyone is thinking, "well why didn't you just get one without a spoiler" I couldn't. I think that the Bright White in V8 were just released, so if I got a V6 in Bright White, it would have no spoiler, but the wrong interior. And if if had the right interior, it would be a V8 WITH a spoiler. It'd be much easier just getting the spoiler removed than getting a whole new interior.
Sorry so long... Thanks!2. Says: Your trunk will have to be completely resprayed after the holes for the spoiler are welded shut, that is the proper way to fix it. They will be able to blend the color within the panel so it shouldn't be noticeable, but the whole trunk lid will have to be clear coated.3. Says: Ah yes but if you advertised a swap for a non spoiler boot with yours I reckon you may find someone that prefers a spoiler than not? I your case, as you say cheaper than an interior.
If you paint over the plugged holes it will look a right mess. Have the whole lot sprayed and it will look great. You probably would not notice a color difference because of the break between trunk and body?
Good luck with it4. Says: Painting the whole trunk lid IS the way to go. Your Auto Body professorial will recommend the same. Tag: Spoiler removal? Please read....?
