1. Mors Says: I have the 1992 Dodge Shadow ES Convertible with an Automatic Transmission, with the 3.0l Engine. So I'm wondering if it has a transmission filter. I am having a problem where it is stuck in second gear and wont shift out of it. So I'm trying to figure out wont it could be. Thanks in advance
2. Grant M Says: despite the above answer it can be a screen problem, drain the fluid and look for metal flakes, add fresh fluid and some lucas trans treatment then drive it about 500 miles, if the problem persist it may need a new modulator valve or have a cracked vaccume line, but be aware there is a chance the bands are possibly welded together if there is an excessive amount of shavings in the pan, also first thing to check is to make sure your fluid isn't dark with a heavy burnt smell, if so you will need to go ahead and have it looked at straight away
3. Paul Says: if you had BOTHERED to read the wealth of useful info I provided in the link, which by the way is info about YOUR trans, you would be a lot better off, AND you would have thanked me for saving you some money. your loss, not mine......
4. Paul Says: All automatics have SOME sort of filter. MY car has a filter that's just a very fine metal screen type thing, but it's still a filter.

Here is some info you may find useful regarding Dodge transmission problems and how to easily cure (some of) them.

5. D Says: This is not a filter problem, it is an internal mechanical one, or the transmission is going into "limp-in" mode because it's detecting a sensor or other problem.
