My battery is getting low?
(2011-03-26 14:20:09) 1. Says: So I wanted to charge it up. I don't have a 12V charger though, so I rigged up a 120V charger from the wall socket. Connected the hot to pos, the neutral to neg, and the earth to my neighbor's pool.I turned it over and my engine went through the ******* roof of my garage and fell into my neighbor's pool.
Does this mean that my battery is prob dead and I need a new one?2. Says: Does you neighbor keep sharks in the pool???3. Says: first of all if the charger your "rigging" doesnt convert the AC power to DC power its not gonna work. if youve tried this multiple times tonight youve prolly fried whatever battery you do have left...Easy solution..as soon as possible take it to your nearest parts stores and see if they will do a load test on it. this will tell you if yer battery is now screwed. if its good they can charge it for you.4. vvvvvvv i believe dc will work on ac power, but the volts and amps wont be right. For example, most snowmobiles, and other 2 strokes have a 12v ac generator but you can use 12v dc light bulbs without a problem.5. Says: i see that you are joking. yes if you apply 120 volts to a 12 volt battery, the battery should release the smoke. you should also check the breakers in the house. Tag: My battery is getting low?
