When you choose "build your own" on a car site, how do you actually have the exact car built and purchase it?

1. - Says: Because I want to create my own and I want to buy exactly that. How do I do that?
2. Brian D Says: after you build it you will have the choice to pull up a list or print a list of everything you just did, you then have to take it to your local dealership and show them the list of everything you had and they can order it just like that, or see if they have one on the lot that is just like it. many options are not "dealership" installed so as long as the vehicle is close to what you want they can change it to be just what you wanted
3. Kenny Says: You can 'order' from the dealer with whatever options you want as long as you know the option code.

Sometimes even if the option is not listed, but you have the code, the factory may accept it. Like for example you wanted an Orange paint and it is only available on a higher model, they may accept your request.
4. Old Man Dirt Says: As stated, you take the sheet to a dealer, and order it.
But hurry up the model year ends soon and if you miss the order cut off date you will not get it built.
Dealers can try to locate one exactly like you want it and have it shipped in from another location also.
5. Limabean Says: I think the 'build your own' things on car websites are usually just for you to have a play and see what the car would be like with the options you want. To actually buy it you'd probably have to go to your local dealership.
