Which spark plugs for my Camaro?
(2011-04-03 14:15:14) 1. Says: I have a 93 camaro 3.4L V6, I think my spark plugs are fouled from seafoaming vehicle.What brand spark plugs will be best for my engine, engine does run.2. Says: Mike, do you even know what Seafoam does or the ways to use it? He probably put it in through his brake booster or directly into the intake, and yes if the engine has a ton of miles on it the Seafoam stuff CAN foul up the plugs.
Anyway, I've always used AC Delco plugs or NGK's and have had good luck with both...whether it be stock engines or ones putting out some good power.3. Says: I've had issues with my LT1 in my 95 Z28 using E3's so I tend to shy away from them, but then again I have the Optispark as opposed to your more conventional ignition system. I only use the AC plugs on that engine now, and I recommend them as well. I did have the 3.4 in a Grand Am I had, however, and I ran the Iridium plugs and was quite happy with 'em.
Tony's correct, and I agree with your observation and his confirmation - seafoaming can and will foul plugs.4. Says: i've had a lot of gm vehicles over the years and i fully recommend the proper ac plugs for your car. other brands may work but i will stick with ac plugs in any chevy engine.
the local auto parts store or gm dealer will have the correct plugs for your engine.5. Says: Denso Iridium Power ITF-20 Don't touch them, just install them and go.
Advanced Auto Parts caries them. They will clean the idle up compared to the factory AC Delco plugs.6. Says: Dude -
If Seafoam is fouling your plugs, you have other issues to worry about!
