My car flashes a message "break worn out, please visit workshop" on the gauge yesterday..?
(2011-04-15 14:20:15) 1. Says: It's a 2007 Mercedes C class AMG with really large break pad. Will I have another few hundred miles to go because we have been on a long holiday and I need the car for another week. Thanks in advance.2. Says: I think you will have a another two hundred miles left in your break pads ,when you get the warning it is a wire that is set in your break pads and when the wire makes a contact with the the brake disc it makes a circuit to let you know that your pads do need changing ,that wire is 1.5 mm thick .,so that is how much you have left on the thinnest break pad .I hope this helps you.3. Says: Right now you're looking at replacing the brake pads. $80
If you continue to drive it, you're going to damage the rotors and cause 10 times the damage and cost of repairs. $800.
It's up to you.4. Says: Brake pads are finished. You can still drive it for a week. If your doing highway miles you should be fine unless your always on the brakes. Tag: My car flashes a message "break worn out, please visit workshop" on the gauge yesterday..?
