Normal LS1 engine oil pressure in a V8?

1. tommaso Says: Hello, I have a 1998 Trans Am, and after some hard driving, at around 195 degrees F and idling at 800rpm's, the Oil pressure gage can go a slow as 18psi.

Is this normal? thanks,
2. richard Says: ya,hot oil at low idle,idle it at 1000 and see the change in the pressure
