Broke key in truck box lock, cost to repair?

1. MC Wells Says: Back of the tool box on my ford ranger key broke off and can not simply be pulled out with pliers. How much would it cost to pull the key out? I have spare, just need the broken key out of the lock.

2. jimmy831831 Says: Try going to a beauty shop and buying the finest set of tweezers they have, worked for me. If that doesn`t work a needle with a hooked end might do the trick as well- broken keys offer very little resistance if you can just get something attached to them.

3. Bruce Says: Take it to a locksmith. I usually charge about $5 to extract a broken key.
