I can start my vespa but when i go to give it gas it dies!! ?

(2011-05-12 14:20:35) 1. Johanna Says: i thought the battery was dead... And it was, i replaced it but now it starts and when i give it gas it puts and dies!! What now????2. Been there done that Says: GET A REAL MOTORCYCLE!!! LOL JK, The vespa's are so fun. Here's 2 possibilities, (1) Bad gas, if water has found it's way in the fuel or the fuel has been sitting too long SUCH AS OVER THE WINTER, It can go bad and lose it's proper purpose. CHANGE THE FUEL AND AD A FUEL ADDITIVE. that's that fix. (2) Bad plugs. Take out the plugs and check the gap and cleanliness.They should be blackish but with no **** on them. Lightly sand them with sand paper or replace. If all else fails. GET A REAL MOTORCYCLE!! Still just playin!3.
