Peugeot 206 2004 3dr passenger seat doesnt lock, it moves backward and forward?
(2011-05-17 14:15:09) 1. Says: a few days ago, i was hoovering my car and when i tried to get in the back seat, i heard a click, later i found a very small lock hatch broken in between the rails. i took it to garage, they want to change the whole rail and it costs £250 including labour. is there any cheaper way to find the hatch or lock whatever it is called.2. Says: So... you still have the little metal piece that broke off ?I think the weak ''spot weld'' broke, and this can be welded again in a few minutes by somebody with a spot welder. Don't buy a new seat until you consult with somebody about re-welding the broken latch.
I have personally switched seats in Peugeots before. After 7 years go by, it is NOT easy to remove the bolts from the original seat. (rust and corrosion under the floor metal) Remove the bolts in the scrap yard car first, just to see what a hard job it is. You will need torx bits for your socket spanners, and vice grip pliers.3. Says: Very common fault with 106/206 models. If you can find one in a scrappy that's in better condition than the one you've got good luck.
Some people end up jamming the thing so it'll never move again. Typical modern Peugeot build quality I'm afraid.4. Says: Buy a used seat from a salvage dealer and cannibalise the parts you need Tag: Peugeot 206 2004 3dr passenger seat doesnt lock, it moves backward and forward?
