My 2000 polaris 250 battery will not charge. its a brand new battery.what can be done.?

If it quits running, the charging system is faulty and the alternator should be removed from the system and replaced.2. tatsonya Says: Do you mean you have hooked a charger up to it and the battery charger says it is charging but the battery never gets a charge? check the water level in the battery, other wise if you are able to charge it from the charger but NOT when the car is running check the connections for the wires from the battery to the alternator, also what was wrong with the previous battery? another possibility would be the Alternator is bad check this if the previous battery was replaced BECAUSE it would not charge or hold a charge.3.
