Chevrolet Venture 2002 Minivan - A/C (low blow/low cooling) and Thermostat related issue?

(2011-05-30 14:15:13) 1. Teresa Says: I just bought a 2002 Chevy Venture Mini Van, the A/C doesn't blow very hard at all even when set on 5 which is max. The heater does the same thing. I found a brand new Thermostat Part in the glove box, my mother suggested that if I put in the new thermostat - that it could fix the A/C and Heater issue.

Do you know if this is true? She figured they bought it because they needed to replace it, but never got around to it (an older couple owned it). The a/c blows cold but not hard enough to actually cool even your face down much less the whole van (same with heat).

Any other suggestions? Thank you in advance!
