(2011-05-31 14:25:14) 1. Says: My headlights look so foggy! And I have no idea why. I've tried scrubbing with soaps and water but once the water dries it jus comes right back! Help please.2. Says: I'll tell you how to do it.1] Wet sand lenses with 1000-1500 grit paper.
2] Use a foam pad with compound. Keep rpms about 1500-2000 and keep buffer moving. They also sell pads that can be used with a drill. Polish until you see clearness on lense.
3] Wax lenses and keep them waxed. Now sometimes you will never get all the 'pitting' out and sometimes there is pitting and moisture on the inside. If there is moisture on the inside, remove lense and drill a small hole in the bottom to let the moisture air out.3. Says: I'll tell you what works. This is the honest truth. I'm a Watchmaker and the best thing to take scratches out of plastic (acrylic) watch crystals is Brasso from any supermarket. It will make your headlights look new. Do a fairly small area at a time with a soft cloth rubbing in the Brasso hard until it dries. Then buff it with a clean cloth. Make a liar out of me. Kidding. It really does work. Good luck.4. Says: They need to be polished. There are a lot of $20 kits for you to do that yourself - Meguairs and the 3M brands are popular. Some require you to have a drill to do the polishing while others are manual polishing.5. Says: they sell special lens cleaner at auto parts stores and I think I've seen that at Walmart.6. Says: you need a head-light restoration kit. it will make them look much clearer and they will put out more light7. Says: I don't know, who DOES clean your headlights?
