Dealer is delivering new car (Honda Fit) to my home. What should I look out for?

1. Die Hard Raider Fan Says: I just purchased a White 2011 Honda Fit from my local Honda dealer, but they did not have the car in stock and had to drive it out here to get it to me. However, the drive took longer than expected and I had to leave early before getting my new car. So now, the dealer offered to drive the Fit to my house and deliver it to me there.

Now, I'm wondering what should I look out for on the car in case there is something wrong?
(Such as preexisting mileage on car, scratches, interior stains, etc.) What specific details should I look out for before I let the dealer person leave?
2. Semir Pupovic Says: Here is a website with everything you should look out for......

3. Otto Says: It will NOT be delivered by a truck. The person who said that is clueless. It may have a few miles as it was procured from another dealer and will have a few miles as it was most likely driven from the other dealer. (It could be up to a couple hundred miles on the odometer) It should be clean and damage free upon delivery. Look it over thoroughly and test everything before you accept it.
4. hitmanjay99uk Says: they will deiver it to you via a Truck and not drive it to you so milage should be show about 2 - 3 miles as they test drive them after they are made

obviously as it 2011 car its brand new so it shouldnt have any marks , dents dings or dirt check it out before you sign for it

if they are atualy driving it to you make sure the time is on the sheet stating when you are the owner from as they could speed or get some kind of ticket on the way to your house if times not mentioned on the sheet you could be to blame as that date you was the legal owner so if it doesnt state times just write it on yourself on all signed documents - once again just check over everythign for marks and dirt etc but add few extra miles however the milage it is from your house to the dealer + say 2 or 3 miles because of test drive

there should be no marks or stains on a brand new car !
