How to prevent a car from moving?

Are there any ways to leave it in the driveway that they won't be able to take it?(I know I can take the keys with me, but I want to do something else, just in case).2. Says: Pull the spark plug wire going from the coil to the distributor (while car is off). The car will crank and crank but never fire, and its pretty simple.
If you decide to disconnect the battery, make sure its the negative cable that is disconnected.3. Says: They can always put that stuff back on. What they probably wont go to the trouble of doing is buying a new ECU just to drive your car. Unplugging the ECU doesn't just unplug something that can be plugged back in as easily as unplugged, it ruins any chance of them taking your car. 4. Says: They can always get extra parts and stuff, so what I would do is disconnect the ECU (its a matter of just unplugging it) and put it somewhere they cannot find it or even just take it with you. My brother is pretty sneaky and that's just about the only way that has worked for me thus far.5. Says: Not really. You can make sure they don't have access to the keys of course. But I'd just tell them not to bother it, and I'd make a note of the mileage.6. Says: Take the battery out our unhook the spark plug cables our you could get a car boot that would hook around the tire.7. Says: take the wheels off or disconnect the battery Tag: How to prevent a car from moving?
