Why is my Toyota Corolla 2006 running out of gas a lot faster than usual?

When I first got it, I noticed that a full tank would enable me to drive 600 km...and now it only gives me about 480km. But usually could be the oil, you must change the oil every 15.000 km or so, and check if you have enough oil, if there is pour oil, will be greater consume of gas instead. also the pressure in the tires must be optimized. less pressure gives better stabilization on rod, and greater pressure give less gas consume, also tires must not be to wasted. greater consume you have also if the car is heavy (many persons, or luggage). this is just the usually stuff. but if the car has problems with engine parts like gaskets riped, Intake valve defects (throw more gas than usual, greater debit in other words) or gas is running out by the injectors and must be better threaded, flux of the air in the combination with gas has again a very important role.too much air or too less affects the consumption of gas... to much air means too much burn (greater consumption) too less air, pour burn of the gas(less consumption but pour performance of the engine) and so on... my advice, if you don't know nothing about the car... go to a auto engineer and see what it tells you... and when he is fixing the car, have a look at what he's doing... like that you will learn. like that, you will know next time what to do if the same problem appears.
