Where is the thermostat located on Hyundai 1999 Sonata V6 engine?

(2011-06-05 14:20:16) 1. Telescope Says: I replaced the old radiator cap with a new one. Now the car is running much hotter than normal. It still cools back down, but only to the halfway mark. It goes as hot as the upper quarter and then cools back down to the half. It never went beyond the halfway mark before this. Could it be the thermostat? If so, where is it located?2. bandit_60 Says: follow the top radiator hose and you should find a housing with the thermostat inside of it. yes it could be the thermostat sticking but the radiator could cause it too if it,s partly clogged, a hose is closing up while your driving or the fan not working can do it too.
